For growth to happen it’s okay to be where you are….
But its not okay to stay there
Thrive
“I am definitely more aware of my choices and habits, what’s working and what’s not”
“I’m working out more, eating healthier, sleeping better. Game changer!”
“Finally, someone showing me HOW to take notes and study and manage my time…instead of just telling me to do it more and do it better”.
Clients will zero in on the life categories that matter most to them: their classes and/or jobs, relationships, hobbies, health, passions, values. They will build and come away with a crystal clear system of tasks and calendaring…so that while they’ll still feel busy at times, there won’t be the overwhelm or the ‘freeze’ feeling where they don’t know where to start. They’ll realize that there is more to be proud of already than they knew; they’ll feel clear on the small steps they can take right away, and get clarity on where they’re going and how they get there. Efficiency, a sense of calm, and excitement as momentum builds.
What do we do?
If you’re not where you thought you’d be, I can help turn work and school and life around for you.
I offer a personalized 3-month course, just one hour per week, that gives you the tools to do better in the things that count – like focus and discipline and direction. Lots of people lost these during the pandemic. I can help find them again.
I’ve been a teacher and a principal and I’m a guidance specialist and certified coach. Years back, as Founding Principal I launched the co-ed high school Blyth Academy Lawrence Park and now am running Thrive to help students and young professionals build the best life for themselves.
So if life is something you survive, I can help you thrive.

Direction and belonging are super-powers and youth are searching for new ways to achieve them. Social media, video games, substance use, and a pandemic have made this hard. Our very own ‘Structuring for Success’ Program unlocks the self to spark momentum.

There are a lot of reasons why a student might be struggling in school.
It’s easy to find a tutor with subject competency, but it’s less easy to find one with competency AND the ability to truly attune to a student and put them at ease and feel supported. Our tutoring service is in its early days, and we will only proceed with a pairing that we feel is best-fit for your needs. Reach out and let us know how we can help.

Thrive founder Luke Coles has been teacher, coach, mentor, Department Head, Vice Principal, and Principal. He has consulted across elementary, middle school, secondary and college levels (currently working with schools/education teams in Ontario, Quebec, the US, and in Africa). He has been a part of School Inspection Committees, designed/connected curriculum, built an innovative Middle School, and been founding Principal of a high school that grew fast and furiously! Luke is excited about virtually all things to do with school life, and has a network with any expertise needed, so for anyone interested in a workshop, a team building exercise of any length, or a PD presentation, rather than advertise specific topics, best to have a chat and see what feels like the best fit.

“This might be the best money we’ve ever spent on our son. I was a skeptic, Luke, and you know that.”
